Exclusions · question
Are payments between related companies included in PTRS?
Quick answer
Payments between entities in the same consolidated group are excluded, but payments to other related entities are not automatically excluded.
What does this mean?
The Regulator requires payments between entities in the same consolidated group to be excluded from the TCP Dataset. This applies even where the receiving entity has annual revenue below $10 million. However, a related entity that is not a controlled entity is not covered by the intragroup exclusion.
Practical point
Do not treat every related-party payment as intragroup. The relevant question is whether the entities form part of the same consolidated group for reporting purposes.
